How Rituals Anchor a Season of Change

Autumn brings shifting weather and fading light, yet returning rituals offer steady ground. Revisiting familiar moments — like sharing a family recipe passed down through generations or wandering through pumpkin patches with children — brings comfort as the year winds down. As families grow and life evolves, these treasured routines anchor our memories, connect us to the past, and guide us into what lies ahead.

A Great Day for Smile Farms

Friends and supporters came together at Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, New York, for our annual Smile Farms Golf Invitational. From a round of golf to special touches from Perry Ellis, Callaway, and artist Kirk Larsen, it was a memorable day in support of meaningful employment and greater independence for adults with developmental disabilities.

In this week’s episode of Power & Impact, I sit down with entrepreneur Craig Dubitsky, who helped build Method and EOS, founded Hello Products, and now leads Happy with Robert Downey Jr. We talk about how curiosity, relationships, and simply saying yes have shaped his unconventional career — and why human connection may matter even more in the age of AI. Watch our conversation.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In last week’s Celebrate Your Story, I sat down with bestselling author and journalist Jennifer Wallace to talk about our need to matter — to feel valued and to know that we have something valuable to contribute. We explored why that need is so important for children and adults alike and how we can help the people in our lives know they matter. Discover why mattering matters.
