Orchard Talk - We're starting to get our first peeks of spring out here in Southern Oregon, and the sunny days can't come quickly enough. Most of our wintertime orchard work has been wrapped up for the year, and now we're eagerly awaiting the first blooms that will kick off a brand-new life cycle. We've still got a few weeks to go, but I want to highlight one of the last of our favorite fruits of winter: Cara Cara oranges. Available for a limited time, Cara Cara oranges have a low acid profile and berry undertones (think cranberry and blackberry). They are the perfect citrus fruit to bid farewell to winter and welcome spring. Make sure to try them while they're at their peak ripeness and get creative incorporating them into your favorite recipes. Matt Borman Vice President, Orchards
