| | | | | | We're starting to get our first peeks of spring out here in Southern Oregon, and the sunny days can't come quickly enough. Most of our wintertime orchard work has been wrapped up for the year, and now we're eagerly awaiting the first blooms that will kick off a brand‑new life cycle.
Since we've still got a few weeks to go, let me take the opportunity to highlight one of the last–but certainly not least loved–fruits of winter: Cara Cara oranges.
While Cara Cara oranges are native to Venezuela, we work with growers in California to bring them to you generally from December to April. I encourage you to try these fruits while they're at their peak of deliciousness and get creative incorporating them into your favorite recipes.
