| | | | | | | | There's an undeniable nip in the air here in Southern Oregon, especially in the early mornings. We may be in the middle of fall, but a recent burst of stormy weather tells us winter is well on the way.
The trees in our orchards are nearing dormancy and beginning to drop their leaves. This means our teams are getting ready to start pruning, helping to create space and light for the fruit that will grow next spring—a process that will continue for several months.
All the work ahead comes on the heels of another successful Royal Riviera Riviera® Pear harvest. As many of you know, we've been at this for nearly a century—and it's still a point of pride after all these years to share this incredible fruit with you. And it's even better knowing that many of our customers love to give our pears during the Christmas season, creating their very own traditions.
While pears are always the shining stars of the season, you can't think about fall fruit without also mentioning crisp and juicy apples. We work with expert growers in Washington and Michigan to bring you the most delicious apples available, perfect for pies, butters, or just everyday snacking. Personally, I've got my eye on a tasty apple pie recipe. Yum.
