Squarey Monster 75 (boo!)

Boo! Sometimes work and life get in the way, and it's impossible to work on the 365 project. I'll catch up, and also make up for it with some more bonus monsters.

Meanwhile, today's Squarey Monster is inspired by the past. My brother and I somehow had it in our head that ghosts can't hurt you, but if you encounter a green ghost you have to run because green ghosts are the only ghosts that can actually kill you. If anyone can provide some insite to that belief, I'd love to hear it. Was it Alfred Hitchcock or Hardy Boys lore? Anyway, don't worry. This guy won't do that.

Ecto Echo
The ghost of memories past, Ecto Echo rattles his chains to remind you of things you may have forgotten. Ecto Echo takes key words from your chitchat, and uses them to trigger memories that take you out of the conversation, causing you to stammer and moan like a ghost. Don’t let the flubs get to you, though. Ecto Echo has a way of only interrupting the boring conversations, anyway.

Squarey Monster 61 (a Frombie named Stan)

Today's Squarey Monster is influenced by my recent stand pipe finds. They can be so expressive!

Stan
Every once in a while there are scraps of metal and hardware that come together and form life. No one knows how this happens, but it’s true! The result looks a lot like a robot, but that’s not what they are at all. They’re called Frombies because nobody knows where they’re from, and they act like zombies. Stan is made from water works parts. He just goes around looking for water all the time. That’s all he wants. On hot days he can be heard to moan, “Raaaaiins!”

Squarey Monster 58 (Gigantique)

Today's Squarey Monster just might step on you…

Gigantique
There is a secret society of black and white Squarey Monsters called Classique Fiendtiques. They hold allegiance to the idea that monsters should be black & white like the ones in old monster movies. Gigantique is an enormous rubber monster who escaped from the shackles of the past, and bounces around from city to city looking for vintage monster movie props. He likes to collect postcards from all the cities he visits. Your home town could be next. Leave out some radioactive milk and cookies if you want to avoid getting crunched.
