| | | | | |  | | | | | Things are looking good in the orchards these days. While we're still a few months off from go‑time, our crews are plenty busy with normal late‑spring prep work like thinning peach trees and monitoring irrigation and fertilization. All of this work is necessary to keep our trees thriving for a bountiful harvest to come.
The fruit I'd like to talk about this month is the bright and bold honey mango. With a distinctive tang and rich sweetness, honey mangoes are slightly smaller than typical mangoes and feature notes of other fruits like citrus, peach, and pineapple. They're particularly delicious when whirled into summer smoothies or paired with desserts, but you might also like them with a little bit of spice, like in a flavorful mango salsa.
Also shipping this month are delectably juicy Valencia oranges along with butter-smooth Royal Verano® Pears–the summer complement to our famous Royal Riviera® Pears. There's more and more exceptional fruit to enjoy as we head into warmer months, so keep an eye out for other delicious delights on the horizon.
